PEACE Judges 6:22-24

When Gideon realized that it was the angel of the LORD, he exclaimed, "Alas, Sovereign LORD! I have seen the angel of the LORD face to face!" But the LORD said to him, "Peace! Do not be afraid. You are not going to die." So Gideon built an altar to the LORD there and called it The LORD Is Peace [Jehovah-shalom]. To this day it stands in Ophrah of the Abiezrites. 

When Gideon realized that it was the angel of the LORD 
Judges 13:16  The angel of the LORD replied, "Even though you detain me, I will not eat any of your food. But if you prepare a burnt offering, offer it to the LORD." (Manoah did not realize that it was the angel of the LORD.)
Judges 13:21  When the angel of the LORD did not show himself again to Manoah and his wife, Manoah realized that it was the angel of the LORD.

I have seen the angel of the LORD face to face! 
Genesis 32:30  So Jacob called the place Peniel [face of God], saying, "It is because I saw God face to face, and yet my life was spared."
Judges 13:22  "We are doomed to die!" he said to his wife. "We have seen God!"

But the LORD said to him, "Peace! Do not be afraid." 
Daniel 10:18-19  Again the one who looked like a man touched me and gave me strength. "Do not be afraid, you who are highly esteemed," he said. "Peace! Be strong now; be strong." When he spoke to me, I was strengthened and said, "Speak, my lord, since you have given me strength."

You are not going to die 
Genesis 16:13-14  She [Hagar] gave this name to the LORD who spoke to her: "You are the God who sees me," for she said, "I have now seen the One who sees me." That is why the well was called Beer Lahai Roi [well of the Living One who sees me]; it is still there, between Kadesh and Bered.
Deuteronomy 5:26  "For what mortal has ever heard the voice of the living God speaking out of fire, as we [the Israelites] have and survived?"

So Gideon built an altar to the LORD there and called it The LORD Is Peace 
Genesis 22:14  So Abraham called that place The LORD Will Provide [Jehovah-Jireh]. And to this day it is said, "On the mountain of the LORD it will be provided."
