PEACE 1 Chronicles 22:9 Part 1 of 2

"But you (David) will have a son who will be a man of peace and rest, and I will give him rest from all his enemies on every side. His name will be Solomon, and I will grant peace and quiet during his reign."

But you will have a son who will be a man of peace and rest
Joshua 14:15b  Then the land had rest from war.
1 Kings 5:4  "But now the LORD my God has given me rest on every side, and there is no adversary or disaster."
1 Chronicles 22:17-18  Then David ordered all the leaders of Israel to help his son Solomon. He said to them, "Is not the LORD your God with you? And has he not granted you rest on every side? For he has given the inhabitants of the land into my hands, and the land is subject to the LORD and to his people."
1 Chronicles 23:25-26  For David had said, "Since the LORD, the God of Israel, has granted rest to his people and has come to dwell in Jerusalem forever, the Levites no longer need to carry the tabernacle or any of the articles used in its service."
2 Chronicles 14:6-7  He (Asa) built up the fortified cities of Judah, since the land was at peace. No one was at war with him during those years, for the LORD gave him rest. "Let us build up these towns," he said to Judah, "and put walls around them, with towers, gates and bars. The land is still ours, because we have sought the LORD our God; we sought him and he has given us rest on every side." So they built and prospered.
2 Chronicles 15:15  All Judah rejoiced about the oath because they had sworn it wholeheartedly. They sought God eagerly, and he was found by them. So the LORD gave them rest on every side.
2 Chronicles 20:29-30  The fear of God came on all the surrounding kingdoms when they heard how the LORD had fought against the enemies of Israel. And the kingdom of Jehoshaphat was at peace, for his God had given him rest on every side.
2 Chronicles 36:20-21  He (Nebuchadnezzar) carried into exile to Babylon the remnant, who escaped from the sword, and they became servant to him and his successors until the kingdom of Persia came to power. The land enjoyed its sabbath rests; all the time of its desolation it rested, until the seventy years were completed in fulfillment of the word of the LORD spoken by Jeremiah.
