Mark 10:21-25 Part 1 of 3

    Jesus looked at him and loved him. "One thing you lack," he said. "Go, sell everything you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me."

    At this the man's face fell. He went away sad, because he had great wealth.

    Jesus looked around and said to his disciples, "How hard it is for the rich to enter the kingdom of God!"

    The disciples were amazed at his words. But Jesus said again, "Children, how hard it is to enter the kingdom of God! It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God."  

 

Jesus looked at him and loved him. "One thing you lack," he said. "Go, sell everything you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me."

Matthew 19:21

    Jesus answered, "If you want to be perfect, go, sell all your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me." 

Luke 18:22  

    When Jesus heard this, he said to him, "You still lack one thing. Sell everything you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me."

Matthew 6:19-21  

    "Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."  (see Matthew 6:19-24)

Luke 12:33-34  

"Sell your possessions and give to the poor. Provide purses for yourselves that will never wear out, a treasure in heaven that will never fail, where no thief comes near and no moth destroys. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."

Acts 2:44-45  

All the believers were together and had everything in common. They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need.  (see Acts 2:42-47)

Matthew 4:19  

"Come, follow me," Jesus said, "and I will send you out to fish for people."  (see Matthew 4:18-22)
