Psalm 79:1 Part 1 of 3

O God, the nations have invaded your inheritance; they have defiled your holy temple, they have reduced Jerusalem to rubble. 

O God, the nations have invaded your inheritance 
Exodus 34:9  "Lord," he (Moses) said, "if I have found favor in your eyes, then let the Lord go with us. Although this is a stiff-necked people, forgive our wickedness and our sin, and take us as your inheritance."
Exodus 6:7  " 'I will take you as my own people, and I will be your God. Then you will know that I am the LORD your God, who brought you out from under the yoke of the Egyptians.' " 
Exodus 19:5-6a  " 'Now if you obey me fully and keep my covenant, then out of all nations you will be my treasured possession. Although the whole earth is mine, you will be for me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.' "
Deuteronomy 4:20  But as for you, the LORD took you and brought you out of the iron-smelting furnace, out of Egypt, to be the people of his inheritance, as you now are.
Deuteronomy 7:6  For you are a people holy to the LORD your God. The LORD your God has chosen you out of all the peoples on the face of the earth to be his people, his treasured possession.
Deuteronomy 9:26  I (Moses) prayed to the LORD and said, "Sovereign LORD, do not destroy your people, your own inheritance that you redeemed by your great power and brought out of Egypt with a mighty hand."
Deuteronomy 9:29  "But they are your people, your inheritance that you brought out by your great power and your outstretched arm."
Deuteronomy 14:2b  Out of all the peoples on the face of the earth, the LORD has chosen you to be his treasured possession.
Deuteronomy 32:9  For the LORD's portion is his people, Jacob his allotted inheritance.
1 Samuel 10:1  Then Samuel took a flask of olive oil and poured it on Saul's head and kissed him saying, "Has not the LORD anointed you ruler over his inheritance?"
1 Kings 8:50-51  "And forgive your people, who have sinned against you; forgive all the offenses they have committed against you, and cause their captors to show them mercy; for they are your people and your inheritance, whom you brought out of Egypt, out of that iron-smelting furnace."
