Colossians 2:9-12 Part 3 of 4

For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form, and in Christ you have been brought to fullness. He is the head over every power and authority. In him you were also circumcised with a circumcision not performed by human hands. Your whole self ruled by the flesh was put off when you were circumcised by Christ, having been buried with him in baptism, in which you were also raised with him through your faith in the working of God, who raised him from the dead.  

In him you were also circumcised with a circumcision not performed my human hands 
Romans 2:29  No, a person is a Jew who is one inwardly; and circumcision is circumcision of the heart, by the Spirit, not by the written code. Such a person's praise is not from other people, but from God. 
Philippians 3:3  For it is we who are the circumcision, we who serve God by his Spirit, who boast in Christ Jesus, and who put no confidence in the flesh--... 
Galatians 6:15  Neither circumcision nor uncircumcision means anything; what counts is the new creation.

Your whole self ruled by the flesh was put off when you were circumcised by Christ 
Galatians 5:24  Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.
Romans 6:6  For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body ruled by sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin--... 
Romans 7:18  For I know that good itself does not dwell in me, that is, my sinful nature. For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out.
Romans 7:25  Thanks be to God, who delivers me through Jesus Christ our Lord! 
Romans 13:14  Rather, clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ, and do not think about how to gratify the desires of the flesh.
Galatians 6:8  Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.
