1 Kings 11:36  " 'I will give one tribe to his son so that David my servant may always have a lamp before me in Jerusalem, the city where I chose to put my Name.' "

my God turns my darkness into light 
Job 29:2-3  "How I long for the months gone by, for the days when God watched over me, when his lamp shone on my head and by his light I walked through darkness!"

Psalm 97:11  Light shines on the righteous and joy on the upright in heart.
Psalm 112:4  Even in darkness light dawns for the upright, for those who are gracious and compassionate and righteous.

2 Corinthians 4:6  For God, who said, "Let light shine out of darkness," (Genesis 1:3) made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of knowledge of God's glory displayed in the face of Christ.
2 Peter 1:19  We also have the prophetic message (the Scriptures) as something completely reliable, and you will do well to pay attention to it, as to a light shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts.
