LIGHT Isaiah 42:6-7 Part 3 of 4

"I, the LORD, have called you in righteousness; I will take hold of your hand. I will keep you and will make you to be a covenant for the people and a light for the Gentiles, to open eyes that are blind, to free captives from prison and to release from the dungeon those who sit in darkness."

to open eyes that are blind
Psalm 146:8 ... the LORD gives sight to the blind, the LORD lifts up those who are bowed down, the LORD loves the righteous.
Isaiah 32:3 Then the eyes of those who see will no longer be closed, and the ears of those who hear will listen.
Matthew 11:5 "The blind receive sight, the lame walk, those who have leprosy are cured, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the good news is preached to the poor."

to free captives
Isaiah 49:9 "... to say to the captives, 'Come out,' and to those in darkness, 'Be free!'
Isaiah 51:14 "The cowering prisoners will soon be set free; they will not die in their dungeon, nor will they lack bread."
Isaiah 52:2 Shake off your dust; rise up, sit enthroned, O Jerusalem. Free yourself from the chains on your neck, O captive Daughter of Zion.
Zechariah 2:7 "Come, O Zion! Escape, you who live in the Daughter of Babylon!"
