LIGHT Isaiah 42:6-7 Part 1 of 4

"I, the LORD, have called you in righteousness; I will take hold of your hand. I will keep you and will make you to be a covenant for the people and a light for the Gentiles, to open eyes that are blind, to free captives from prison and to release from the dungeon those who sit in darkness."

I, the LORD, have called you
Exodus 31:2 "See, I have chosen Bezalel son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah, ..."
Isaiah 41:9-10 "I took you from the ends of the earth, from its farthest corners I called you. I said, 'You are my servant'; I have chosen you and have not rejected you. So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."
Isaiah 43:1 But now, this is what the LORD says--he who created you, O Jacob, he who formed you, O Israel: "Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine."

in righteousness
Isaiah 45:24 "They will say of me, 'In the LORD alone are righteousness and strength.'" All who have raged against him will come to him and be put to shame.
Jeremiah 23:6 "In his days Judah will be saved and Israel will live in safety. This is the name by which he will be called: The LORD our righteousness."
Daniel 9:7 "Lord, you are righteous, but this day we are covered with shame--the men of Judah and the people of Jerusalem and all Israel, both near and far, in all the countries where you have scattered us because of our unfaithfulness to you."

I will take hold of your hand
Isaiah 41:13 "For I am the LORD, your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you."
Isaiah 45:1 "This is what the LORD says to his anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I take hold of to subdue nations before him and to strip kings of their armor, to open doors before him so that gates will not be shut: ..."

I will keep you
Isaiah 26:3 You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in you.
Isaiah 27:3 "I, the LORD, watch over it; I water it continually. I guard it day and night so that no one may harm it."
