Psalm 80:7-11 Part 2 of 2

Restore us, God Almighty; make your face shine on us, that we may be saved. You transplanted a vine from Egypt; you drove out the nations and planted it. You cleared the ground for it, and it took root and filled the land. The mountains were covered with its shade, the mighty cedars with its branches. Its branches reached as far as the Sea (the Mediterranean), its shoots as far as the River (the Euphrates).

you drove out the nations 

Exodus 23:28-30  "I will send the hornet ahead of you to drive the Hivites, Canaanites and the Hittites out of your way. But I will not drive them out in a single year, because the land would become desolate and the wild animals too numerous for you. Little by little I will drive them out before you, until you have increased enough to take possession of the land."

Joshua 13:6-7  "As for all the inhabitants of the mountain regions from Lebanon to Misrephoth Maim, that is, all the Sidonians, I myself will drive them out before the Israelites. Be sure to allocate this land to Israel for an inheritance, as I have instructed you, and divide it as an inheritance among the nine tribes and half of the tribe of Manasseh."

Acts 7:45  "After receiving the tabernacle, our ancestors under Joshua brought it with them when they took the land from the nations God drove out before them. It remained in the land until the time of David, ..."

and planted it 

Exodus 15:17  "You will bring them in and plant them on the mountain of your inheritance--the place, LORD, you made for your dwelling, the sanctuary, Lord, your hands established."

Isaiah 60:21  "Then all your people will be righteous and they will possess the land forever. They are the shoot I have planted, the work of my hands, for the display of my splendor."

Amos 9:15  "I will plant Israel in their own land, never again to be uprooted from the land I have given them," says the LORD your God.

Psalm 72:8  May he rule from sea to sea and from the River (the Euphrates) to the ends of the earth.
