"And behold, I am coming quickly.
Blessed is he who heeds the words of the prophecy of this book."
Revelation 22:7 NASB
The great city split into three parts, and the cities of the nations collapsed. God remembered Babylon the Great and gave her the cup filled with the wine of the fury of his wrath. Every island fled away and the mountains could not be found.
The great city split into three parts
Revelation 17:18 "The woman you saw is the great city that rules over the kings of the earth."
God remembered
Revelation 18:4-5 Then I heard another voice from heaven say: " 'Come out of her, my people,' (Jeremiah 51:45) so that you will not share in her sins, so that you will not receive any of her plagues; for her sins are piled up to heaven, and God has remembered her crimes."
Babylon the Great
Revelation 14:8 A second angel followed and said, " 'Fallen! Fallen is Babylon the Great,' (Isaiah 21:9) which made all the nations drink the maddening wine of her adulteries."
and gave her the cup filled with the wine of the fury of his wrath
Revelation 14:9-12 A third angel followed them and said in a loud voice: "If anyone worships the beast and its image and receives its mark on their forehead or on their hand, they, too, will drink the wine of God's fury, which has been poured full strength into the cup of his wrath. They will be tormented with burning sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and of the Lamb. And the smoke of their torment will rise for ever and ever. There will be no rest day or night for those who worship the beast and its image, or for anyone who receives the mark of its name." This calls for patient endurance on the part of the people of God who keep his commands and remain faithful to Jesus.
Every island fled away and the mountains could not be found
Revelation 6:14 The heavens receded like a scroll being rolled up, and every mountain and island was removed from its place.
