Ephesians 5:18-20 Part 1 of 2

Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another with psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit. Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Leviticus 10:8-11  Then the LORD said to Aaron, "You and your sons are not to drink wine or other fermented drink whenever you go into the tent of meeting, or you will die. This is a lasting ordinance for the generations to come, so that you can distinguish between the holy and the common, between the unclean and the clean, and so you can teach the Israelites all the decrees the LORD has given them through Moses."
Proverbs 20:1  Wine is a mocker and beer a brawler; whoever is led astray by them is not wise.
Isaiah 28:7  And these also stagger from wine and reel from beer: Priests and prophets stagger from beer and are befuddled with wine; they reel from beer, they stagger when seeing visions, they stumble when rendering decisions.
Romans 13:13  Let us behave decently, as in the daytime, not in carousing and drunkenness, not in dissension and jealousy.

Instead, be filled with the Spirit 
Luke 1:13-15  But the angel said to him: "Do not be afraid, Zechariah; your prayer has been heard. Your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you are to call him John. He will be a joy and delight to you, and many will rejoice because of his birth, for he will be great in the sight of the Lord. He is never to take wine or other fermented drink, and he will be filled with the Holy Spirit even before he is born."
Acts 2:4  All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them.
Acts 9:17  Then Ananias went to the house and entered it. Placing his hands on Saul, he said, "Brother Saul, the Lord--Jesus who appeared to you on the road as you were coming here--has sent me so that you may see again and be filled with the Holy Spirit."
