Ephesians 4:11-13 Part 1 of 3

So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. 

So Christ himself gave 
Ephesians 4:8  This is why it says: "When he ascended on high, he took many captives and gave gifts to his people." (Psalm 68:18)

the apostles 
1 Corinthians 12:28  And God has placed in the church first of all apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then miracles, then gifts of healing, of helping, of guidance, and of different kinds of tongues. 
Ephesians 2:20  ... built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone.
Ephesians 3:5  ... which was not made known to people in other generations as it has now been revealed by the Spirit to God's holy apostles and prophets.
2 Peter 3:2  I want you to recall the words spoken in the past by the holy prophets and the command given by our Lord and Savior through your apostles.
Jude 17  But, dear friends, remember what the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ foretold.

the prophets 
Romans 12:6  We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith; ...
1 Corinthians 12:10  ... to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues, and to still another the interpretation of tongues.
1 Corinthians 13:2  If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.
1 Corinthians 13:8  Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.
1 Corinthians 14:1  Follow the way of love and eagerly desire gifts of the Spirit, especially prophecy.
1 Corinthians 14:39  Therefore, my brothers and sisters, be eager to prophesy, and do not forbid speaking in tongues.
