Ephesians 5:13-14

But everything exposed by the light becomes visible--and everything that is illuminated becomes a light. This is why it is said: "Wake up, sleeper, rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you."

But everything exposed by the light becomes visible
John 3:20-21  Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that their deeds will be exposed. But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done in the sight of God.

This is why it is said: "Wake up, sleeper,"
Romans 13:11-12  And do this, understanding the present time: The hour has already come for you to wake up from your slumber, because our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed. The night is nearly over; the day is almost here. So let us put aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light.

"rise from the dead,"
Isaiah 26:19  But your dead will live, LORD; their bodies will rise--let those who dwell in the dust wake up and shout for joy--your dew is like the dew of the morning; the earth will give birth to her dead.
John 5:25  "Very truly I tell you, a time is coming and has now come when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God and those who hear will live."

"and Christ will shine on you."
Isaiah 60:1  "Arise, shine for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD rises upon you."
Malachi 4:2  "But for you who revere my name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its rays. And you will go out and frolic like well-fed calves."
