Psalm 34:11-14 Part 1 of 2

Come, my children, listen to me; I will teach you the fear of the LORD. Whoever of you loves life and desires to see many good days, keep your tongue from evil and your lips from telling lies. Turn from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it. 

Come, my children, listen to me 
Psalm 66:16  Come and hear, all you who fear God; let me tell you what he has done for me.

I will teach you 
Psalm 32:8  I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.

the fear of the LORD 
Psalm 19:9  The fear of the LORD is pure, enduring forever. The decrees of the LORD are firm, and all of them are righteous.

Whoever of you loves life and desires to see many good days 
Ecclesiastes 3:12-13  I know that there is nothing better for people than to be happy and to do good while they live. That each of them may eat and drink, and find satisfaction in all their toil--this is the gift of God.

keep your tongue from evil 
Psalm 39:1  I said, "I will watch my ways and keep my tongue from sins; I will put a muzzle on my mouth while in the presence of the wicked."
Psalm 141:3  Set a guard over my mouth, LORD; keep watch over the door of my lips.
Proverbs 13:3  Those who guard their lips preserve their lives, but those who speak rashly will come to ruin.
Proverbs 21:23  Those who guard their mouths and their tongues keep themselves from calamity.
James 1:26  Those who consider themselves religious and yet do not keep a tight rein on their tongues deceive themselves, and their religion is worthless.
