1 Thessalonians 2:10-12 Part 1 of 2

You are witnesses and so is God, of how holy, righteous and blameless we were among you who believed. For you know that we dealt with each of you as a father deals with his own children, encouraging, comforting and urging you to live lives worthy of God, who calls you into his kingdom and glory.

 

You are witnesses

1 Thessalonians 1:4-5  For we know, brothers and sisters loved by God, that he has chosen  you, because our gospel came to you not simply with words but also with power, with the Holy Spirit and deep conviction. You know how we lived among you for your sake.

and so is God 

1 Thessalonians 2:5  You know we never used flattery, nor did we put on a mask to cover up greed--God is our witness.

Romans 1:9-10a  God, whom I serve in my spirit in preaching the gospel of his Son, is my witness how constantly I remember you in my prayers at all times.

of how holy, righteous and blameless we were among you who believed 

2 Corinthians 1:12  Now this is our boast: Our conscience testifies that we have conducted ourselves in the world, and especially in our relations with you, with integrity and godly sincerity. We have done so, relying not on worldly wisdom but on God's grace.

For you know that we dealt with each of you as a father deals with his own children 

1 Thessalonians 2:7  Instead, we were like young children among you.

1 Corinthians 4:14-15  I am writing this not to shame you but to warn you as my dear children. Even if you had ten thousand guardians in Christ, you do not have many fathers, for in Christ Jesus I became your father through the gospel.

Galatians 4:19-20  My dear children, for whom I am again in the pains of childbirth until Christ is formed in you, how I wish I could be with you now and change my tone, because I am perplexed about you.

1 John 2:1  My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, we have an advocate with the Father--Jesus Christ, the Righteous One.
