1 Thessalonians 2:1-2

You know, brothers and sisters, that our visit to you was not without results. We had previously suffered and been treated outrageously in Philippi, as you know, but with the help of our God we dared to tell you his gospel in the face of strong opposition.

You know, brothers and sisters, that our visit to you
1 Thessalonians 1:5  ... because our gospel came to you not simply with words but also with power, with the Holy Spirit and deep conviction. You know how we lived among you for your sake.
1 Thessalonians 1:9  ... for they themselves report what kind of reception you gave us. They tell how you turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God, ...

was not without results
2 Thessalonians 1:9-10  They will be punished with everlasting destruction and shut out from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of his might on the day he comes to be glorified in his holy people and to be marveled at among all those who have believed. This includes you, because you believed our testimony to you.

We had previously suffered
Acts 14:19  Then some Jews came from Antioch and Iconium and won the crowd over. They stoned Paul and dragged him outside the city, thinking he was dead.
Acts 16:22  The crowd joined in the attack against Paul and Silas, and the magistrates ordered them to be stripped and beaten with rods.
Philippians 1:29-30  For it has been granted to you on behalf of Christ not only to believe in him, but also to suffer for him, since you are going through the same struggle you saw I had, and now hear that I still have.

and been treated outrageously in Philippi, as you know
Acts 16:12  From there we traveled to Philippi, a Roman colony and the leading city of that district of Macedonia. And we stayed there several days.

but with the help of our God we dared to tell you his gospel in the face of strong opposition
Acts 17:2-5  As was his custom, Paul went into the synagogue (at Thessalonica), and on three Sabbath days he reasoned with them from the Scriptures, explaining and proving that the Messiah had to suffer and rise from the dead. "This Jesus I am proclaiming to you is the Messiah," he said. Some of the Jews were persuaded and joined Paul and Silas, as did a large number of God-fearing Greeks and quite a few prominent women. But other Jews were jealous; so they rounded up some bad characters from the marketplace and started a riot in the city. They rushed to Jason's house in search of Paul and Silas in order to bring them out to the crowd.
