Romans 12:14-16 Part 1 of 2

Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn. Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited.

Bless those who persecute you
Matthew 5:44-45  "But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous."
Luke 6:27-28  "But to you who are listening I say: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you."
Luke 23:24  Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing." And they divided up his clothes by casting lots.
John 15:20  "Remember what I told you: 'A servant is not greater than his master.' (John 13:16) If they persecuted me, they will persecute you also. If they obeyed my teaching, they will obey yours also."
Acts 7:59-60  While they were stoning him, Stephen prayed, "Lord Jesus, receive my spirit." Then he fell on his knees and cried out, "Lord, do not hold this sin against them." When he had said this, he fell asleep. And Saul approved of their killing him.
Romans 8:35  Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?
1 Corinthians 4:12-13  We work hard with our own hands. When we are cursed, we bless; when we are persecuted, we endure it; when we are slandered, we answer kindly. We have become the scum of the earth, the garbage of the world--right up to this moment.
1 Peter 2:23  When they hurled their insults at him (Jesus), he did not retaliate; when he suffered, he made no threats. Instead he entrusted himself to him (God) who judges justly.
