Romans 11:13-16 Part 3 of 3

I am talking to you Gentiles. Inasmuch as I am the apostle to the Gentiles, I take pride in my ministry in the hope that I may somehow arouse my own people to envy and save some of them. For if their rejection brought reconciliation to the world, what will their acceptance be but life from the dead? If the part of the dough offered as firstfruits is holy, then the whole batch is holy; if the root is holy, so are the branches.

 

For if their rejection brought reconciliation to the world

Romans 5:10  For if, while we were God's enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life!

2 Corinthians 5:18-19  All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people's sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation.

Colossians 1:19-20  For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross.

Colossians 1:22  But now he has reconciled you by Christ's physical body through death to present you holy in his sight, without blemish and free from accusation--...

what will their acceptance be but life from the dead? 

Luke 15:24  " 'For this son of mine was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.' So they began to celebrate."

Luke 15:32  " 'But we had to celebrate and be glad, because this brother of yours was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.' "

If the part of the dough offered as firstfruits is holy, then the whole batch is holy 

Leviticus 33:10  "Speak to the Israelites and say to them: 'When you enter the land I am going to give you and you reap its harvest, bring to the priest a sheaf of the first grain  you harvest.' "

Leviticus 23:17  " 'From wherever you live, bring two loaves made of two-tenths of an ephah of the finest flour, baked with yeast, as a wave offering of firstfruits to the LORD.' "

Numbers 15:20  "Present a loaf from the first of your ground meal and present it as an offering from the threshing floor.' "
