Romans 8:3-4 Part 2 of 2

For what the law was powerless to do because it was weakened by the flesh, God did by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh to be a sin offering. And so he condemned sin in the flesh, in order that the righteous requirement of the law might be fully met in us, who do not live according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.

Hebrews 2:14-15  Since the children have flesh and blood, he too shared in their humanity so that by his death he might break the power of him who holds the power of death--that is, the devil--and free those who all their lives were held in slavery by their fear of death.

Hebrews 2:17  For this reason he had to be made like them, fully human in every way, in order that he might become a merciful and faithful high priest in service to God, and that he might make atonement for the sins of the people.

And so he condemned sin in the flesh, in order that the righteous requirement of the law might be fully met in us 

Romans 2:26  So then, if those who are not circumcised keep the law's requirements, will they not be regarded as though the were circumcised?

who do not live according to the flesh but according to the Spirit 

Galatians 5:16  So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.

Galatians 5:18  But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.

Galatians 5:25  Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.

Romans 8:2  ... because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death.

Romans 8:5-6  Those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on what the flesh desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires. The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace.

Romans 8:9  You, however, are not in the realm of the flesh but are in the realm of the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God lives in you.

Romans 8:14  For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God. 

2 Corinthians 5:17  Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old is gone, the new is here!
