John 18:28-32 Part 2 of 2

Then the Jewish leaders took Jesus from Caiaphas to the palace of the Roman governor. By now it was early morning, and to avoid ceremonial uncleanness they did not enter the palace, because they wanted to eat the Passover. So Pilate came out to them and asked, "What charges are you bringing against this man?"  "If he were not a criminal," they replied, "we would not have handed him over to you." Pilate said, "Take him yourselves and judge him by your own law."  "But we have no right to execute anyone," they objected. This took place to fulfill what Jesus had said about the kind of death he was going to die.

This took place to fulfill what Jesus has said about the kind of death he was going to die
Matthew 20:17-19  Now Jesus was going up to Jerusalem. On the way he took the Twelve aside and said to them, "We are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be delivered over to the chief priests and the teachers of the law. They will condemn him to death and hand him over to the Gentiles to be mocked and flogged and crucified. On the third day he will be raised to life!"
Matthew 26:1-2  When Jesus had finished saying all these things, he said to his disciples, "As you know, the Passover is two days away--and the Son of Man will be handed over to be crucified."
John 3:14-15  "Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the wilderness, so the Son of Man must be lifted up, that everyone who believes may have eternal life in him."
John 8:28  So Jesus said, "When you have lifted up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am he and that I do nothing on my own but speak just what the Father has taught me."
John 12:32-33  "And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all people to myself." He said this to show the kind of death he would die.
