John 17:13-15 Part 2 of 2

"I am coming to you now, but I say these things while I am still in the world, so that they may have the full measure of my joy within them. I have given them your word and the world has hated them, for they are not of the world any more than I am of the world. My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one."

Matthew 5:37  "All you need to say is simply 'Yes' or 'No'; anything beyond this comes from the evil one."
Matthew 6:13  " 'And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.' " 
Matthew 13:19  "When anyone hears the message about the kingdom and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what was sown in their heart. This is the seed sown along the path." (see Matthew 13:3-23)
Matthew 13:37-39  He answered, "The one who sowed the good seed is the Son of Man. the field is the world, and the good seed stands for the people of the kingdom. The weeds are the people of the evil one, and the enemy who sows them is the devil. The harvest is the end of the age, and the harvesters are angels." (See Matthew 13:31-43) 
Ephesians 6:16  In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.
2 Thessalonians 3:3  But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one.
1 John 3:12  Do not be like Cain, who belonged to the evil one and murdered his brother. And why did he murder him? Because his own actions were evil and his brother's were righteous.
1 John 5:18-19  We know that anyone born of God does not continue to sin; the One who was born of God keeps them safe, and the evil one cannot harm them. We know that we are children of God, and that the whole world is under the control of the evil one.
