They dress the wound of my people as though it were not serious. "Peace, peace." they say, when there is no peace.
Jeremiah 8:15 We hoped for peace but no good has come, for a time of healing but there is only terror.
Jeremiah 4:10 Then I said, "Alas, Sovereign LORD! How completely you have deceived this people and Jerusalem by saying, 'You will have peace,' when the sword is at our throats!"
Ezekiel 7:25-27 " 'When terror comes, they will seek peace in vain. Calamity upon calamity will come, and rumor upon rumor. They will go searching for a vision from the prophet, priestly instruction in the law will cease, the counsel of the elders will come to an end. The king will mourn, the prince will be clothed with despair, and the hands of the people of the land will tremble.
