PEACE Isaiah 9:6 Part 1 of 2

For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

For to us a child is born 
Genesis 3:15  "And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head and you will strike his heel."
Isaiah 53:2  He grew up before him like a tender shoot, like a root out of dry ground. He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to him, nothing in his appearance that we should desire him.
Luke 2:11  "Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord."

unto us a son is given 
John 3:16  For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

and the government 
Matthew 28:18  Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me."

will be on his shoulders 
Isaiah 22:22  "I will place on his shoulder the key to the house of David; what he opens no one can shut, and what he shuts no one can open."

And he will be called Wonderful Counselor 
Job 15:8  "Do you listen in on God's counsel? Do you have a monopoly on wisdom?"
Isaiah 28:29  All this comes from the LORD Almighty, whose plan is wonderful, whose wisdom is magnificent.

Mighty God 
Deuteronomy 7:21  Do not be terrified by them, for the LORD your God, who is among you, is a great and awesome God.
Psalm 24:8  Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle.
Isaiah 10:21  A remnant will return, a remnant of Jacob will return to the Mighty God.
Isaiah 11:2-3  The Spirit of the LORD will rest on him--the Spirit of wisdom and of understanding, the Spirit of counsel and of might, the Spirit of the knowledge and fear of the LORD--and he will delight in the fear of the LORD.
Isaiah 42:13  The LORD will march out like a champion, like a warrior he will stir up his zeal; with a shout he will raise the battle cry and will triumph over his enemies.
