GLORY Titus 2:11-14 Part 3 of 4

For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people. It teaches us to say "No" to ungodliness and worldly passions and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, while we wait for the blessed hope--the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good.

Exodus 19:5a  " 'Now if you obey me fully and keep my covenant, then out of all nations you will be my treasured possession.' "
Deuteronomy 4:20  But as for you, the LORD took you and brought you out of the iron-smelting furnace, out of Egypt, to be the people of his inheritance, as you now are.
Deuteronomy 14:2  ... for you are a people holy to the LORD your God. Out of all the peoples on the face of the earth, the LORD has chosen you to be his treasured possession.
Psalm 135:4  For the LORD has chosen Jacob to be his own, Israel to be his treasured possession.
Malachi 3:17  "On the day when I act," says the LORD Almighty, "they will be my treasured possession. I will spare them, just as a father has compassion and spares his son who serves him."
1 Peter 2:9  But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God's special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.

eager to do what is good 
Titus 2:7a  In everything set them an example by doing what is good.
Proverbs 16:7  When the LORD takes pleasure in anyone's way, he causes their enemies to make peace with them.
