TRUTH John 19:35-37

The man who saw it has given testimony, and his testimony is true. He knows that he tells the truth, and he testifies so that you also may believe. These things happened so that the scripture would be fulfilled: "Not one of his bones will be broken." [Exodus 12:46; Numbers 19:12; Psalm 34:20] and, as another scripture says, "They will look on the one they have pierced." [Zechariah 12:10]

The man who saw it has given testimony
Luke 24:48  "You are witnesses of these things."

and his testimony is true
John 15:27  "An you also must testify, for you have been with me from the beginning."
John 21:24  This is the disciple who testifies to these things and who wrote them down. We know that his testimony is true.

These things happened so that the scripture would be fulfilled
John 19:24  "Let's not tear it," they said to one another. "Let's decide by lot who will get it." This happened that the scripture might be fulfilled that said, "They divided my clothes among them and cast lots for my garment." [Psalm 22:18] So this is what the soldiers did.
John 19:28  Later, knowing that everything had now been finished, and so that Scripture would be fulfilled, Jesus said, "I am thirsty." [Psalm 69:21; Psalm 22:15]
Matthew 1:22-23  All this took place to fulfill what the Lord has said through the prophet: "The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel" [Isaiah 7:14] (which means "God with us").

Not one of his bones will be broken
Exodus 12:46  "It must be eaten inside the house; take none of the meat outside the house. Do not break any of the bones."
Numbers 9:12  "They must not leave any of it till morning or break any of its bones. When they celebrate the Passover, they must follow all the regulations."
Palm 34:20  ... he protects all his bones, not one of them will be broken.

They will look on the one they have pierced
Zechariah 12:10  "And I will pour out on the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem a spirit of grace and supplication. They will look on me, the one they have pierced, and they will mourn for him as one mourns for an only child, and grieve bitterly for him as one grieves for a firstborn son."
Revelation 1:7  "Look, he is coming with the clouds," [Daniel 7:13] and "every eye will see him, even those who pierced him" [Zechariah 12:10]; and all peoples on earth "will mourn because of him." [Zechariah 12:10] So shall it be! Amen.
