King Herod heard about this, for Jesus' name had become well known.
Some were saying, "John the Baptist has been raised from the dead, and
that is why miraculous powers are at work in him."
Others said, "He is Elijah."
And still others claimed, "He is a prophet, like one of the prophets of long ago."

John 6:14 After the people saw the sign Jesus performed, they began to say, "Surely this is the Prophet who is to come into the world."
Luke 7:16-17 They were all filled with awe and praised God. "A great prophet has appeared among us," they said. "God has come to help his people." This news about Jesus spread throughout Judea and the surrounding country.

Matthew 16:13-16 When Jesus came to the region of Caesarea Philippi he asked his disciples, "Who do people say the Son of Man is?"

"But what about you?" he asked, "who do you say I am?"

"What things?" he asked.
