Ruth 3:3-4 Part 1 of 2

"Wash, put on perfume, and get dressed in your best clothes. Then go down to the threshing floor; but don't let him know you are there until he is finished eating and drinking. When he lies down, note the place where he is lying. Then go and uncover his feet and lie down. He will tell you what to do."

 

Wash

2 Samuel 12:20  Then David got up from the ground. After he had washed, put on lotions and changed his clothes, he went into the house of the LORD and worshiped. Then he went to his own house, and at his request they served him food, and he ate.  

2 Kings 5:10   Elisha sent a messenger to say to him (Naaman), "Go, wash yourself seven times in the Jordan, and your flesh will be restored and you will be cleansed."

Psalm 26:6-7  I wash my hands in innocence, and go about your altar, LORD, proclaiming aloud your praise and telling of all your wonderful deeds. 

Psalm 51:2  Wash away all my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin.

Isaiah 1:16  Wash and make yourselves clean. Take your evil deeds out of my sight; stop doing wrong.

Jeremiah 4:14  Jerusalem, wash the evil from your heart and be saved. How long will you harbor wicked thoughts?

Ezekiel 16:9  " 'I bathed you with water and washed the blood from you and put ointments on you.' "

2 Samuel 14:2  So Joab sent someone to Tekoa and had a wise woman brought from there. He said to her, "Pretend you are in mourning. Dress in mourning clothes, and don't use any cosmetic lotions. Act like a woman who has spent many days grieving for the dead."

Isaiah 61:3a  ... and provide for those who grieve in Zion--to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair.

and get dressed in your best clothes
