Romans 8:22-25 Part 3 of 3

We know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time. Not only so, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for our adoption to sonship, the redemption of our bodies. For in this hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what they already have? But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.

For in this hope we were saved
1 Thessalonians 5:8  But since we belong to the day, let us be sober, putting on faith and love as a breastplate, and the hope of salvation as a helmet.
Titus 3:7  ... so that, having been justified by his grace we might become heirs having the hope of eternal life.

But hope that is seen is no hope at all
2 Corinthians 4:18  So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.
2 Corinthians 5:7  For we live by faith, not by sight.
Hebrews 11:1  Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.
