John 13:1-2

It was just before the Passover Festival. Jesus knew that the hour had come for him to leave this world and go to the Father. Having loved his own who were in the world, he loved them to the end. The evening meal was in progress, and the devil had already prompted Judas, the Son of Simon Iscariot, to betray Jesus.

It was just before the Passover Festival
John 11:55  When it was almost time for the Jewish Passover, many went up from the country to Jerusalem for their ceremonial cleansing before the Passover.
Matthew 26:1-2  When Jesus had finished saying all these things, he said to his disciples, "As you know, the Passover is two days away--and the Son of Man will be handed over to be crucified."
Mark 14:1  Now the Passover and the Festival of Unleavened Bread were only two days away, and the chief priests and the teachers of the law were scheming to arrest Jesus secretly and kill him.

Jesus knew that the hour had come
Matthew 26:18  He replied, "Go into the city to a certain man and tell him, 'The Teacher says: My appointed time is near. I am going to celebrate the Passover with my disciples at your house.' "
John 12:23  Jesus replied, "The hour has come for the Son of Man to be glorified."
John 17:1  After Jesus said this, he looked toward heaven and prayed: "Father, the hour has come. Glorify your Son, that your Son may glorify you."

for him to leave this world and go to the Father
John 16:28  "I came from the Father and entered the world; now I am leaving the world and going back to the Father."
John 13:3  Jesus knew that the Father had put all things under his power, and that he had come from God and was returning to God; ...

the devil had already prompted Judas, the Son of Simon Iscariot, to betray Jesus
Mark 14:10  Then Judas Iscariot, one of the Twelve, went to the chief priests to betray Jesus to them.
John 13:26-27  Jesus answered, "It is the one to whom I will give this piece of bread when I have dipped it in the dish." Then, dipping the piece of bread, he gave it to Judas, the son of Simon Iscariot. As soon as Judas took the bread, Satan entered into him. So Jesus told him, "What you are about to do, do quickly."
Matthew 26:47  While he was still speaking, Judas, one of the Twelve, arrived. With him was a large crowd armed with swords and clubs, sent from the chief priests and the elders of the people.
