1 Peter 4:1-2

Therefore, since Christ suffered in his body, arm yourselves also with the same attitude, because whoever suffers in the body is done with sin. As a result they do not live the rest of their earthly lives for evil human desires, but rather for the will of God.

1 Peter 2:21  To this you were called, because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in his steps.
1 Peter 3:18  For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death but made alive in the Spirit.
1 Peter 4:13  But rejoice inasmuch as you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when his glory is revealed. 

arm yourselves also with the same attitude 
Philippians 2:5-8  In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus: Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death--even death on a cross!

because whoever suffers in the body is done with sin 
Romans 6:18  You have been set free from sin and have become slaves to righteousness.

Romans 6:1-2  What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? By no means! We are those who have died to sin; how can we live in it any longer?
1 Peter 1:14  As obedient children, do not conform to the evil desires you had when you lived in ignorance.

1 Peter 1:15-16  But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; for it is written: "Be holy, because I am holy." (Leviticus 11:44-45; 19:2)
