1 Peter 3:4-6 Part 2 of 3

Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God's sight. For this is the way the holy women of the past who put their hope in God used to adorn themselves. They submitted themselves to their own husbands, like Sarah, who obeyed Abraham and called him her lord. You are her daughters if you do what is right and do not give way to fear.

used to adorn themselves
Esther 2:15  When the turn came for Esther (the young woman Mordecai had adopted, the daughter of his uncle Abihail) to go to the king, she asked for nothing other than what Hegai, the king's eunuch who was in charge of the harem, suggested. And Esther won the favor of everyone who saw her.

They submitted themselves to their own husbands, like Sarah, who obeyed Abraham and called him her lord
Genesis 18:10-12  Then one of them said, "I will surely return to you about this time next year, and Sarah your wife will have a son." Now Sarah was listening at the entrance to the tent, which was behind him. Abraham and Sarah were already very old, and Sarah laughed to herself as she thought, "After I am worn out and my lord is old, will I now have this pleasure?"
Psalm 45:10-11  Listen, daughter, and pay careful attention: Forget your people and your father's house. Let the king be enthralled by your beauty; honor him, for he is your lord.

You are her daughters if you do what is right and do not give way to fear
Proverbs 31:21  When it snows, she has no fear for her household; for all of them are clothed in scarlet.
Isaiah 35:3-4  Strengthen the feeble hands, steady the knees that give way; say to those with fearful hearts, "Be strong, do not fear; your God will come, he will come with vengeance; with divine retribution he will come to save you."
Isaiah 41:10  "So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."
Isaiah 41:13  "For I am the LORD your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you."
Isaiah 43:1  But now this is what the LORD says--he who created you, Jacob, he who formed you, Israel: "Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine."
