JESUS - Ephesians 1:4-5 Part 2 of 2

For he (God) chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love he predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will--...

In love
Ephesians 4:2  Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.
Ephesians 4:15-16  Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ. From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.

he predestined us
Ephesians 1:11-12  In him we were also chosen, having been predestined according to the plan of him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of his will, in order that we, who were the first to put our hope in Christ, might be for the praise of his glory.
Romans 8:29-30  For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters. And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified.

for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ
Romans 8:14-15  For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God. The Spirit does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry, "Abba, Father."

in accordance with his pleasure and will
Luke 12:32  "Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father has been pleased to give you the kingdom."
1 Corinthians 1:21  For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not know him, God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe.
Colossians 1:19-20  For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him (the Son), and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross.
