JESUS - 2 Timothy 1:9-10

He has saved us and called us to a holy life--not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time, but it has now been revealed through the appearing of our Savior, Christ Jesus, who has destroyed death and has brought life and immortality to light through the gospel. 

He has saved us 
Romans 11:13-14  I am talking to you Gentiles. Inasmuch as I am the apostle to the Gentiles, I take pride in my ministry in the hope that I may somehow arouse my own people to envy and save some of them.

and called us to a holy life 
Romans 8:28  And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
Ephesians 1:4  For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight.
1 Thessalonians 4:7  For God did not call us to be impure, but to live a holy life.

not because of anything we have done 
Ephesians 2:8-10  For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith--and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God--not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

but it has now been revealed 
Ephesians 1:9  ... he made known to us the mystery of his will according to his good pleasure, which he purposed in Christ, ...

through the appearing of our Savior, Jesus Christ 
1 Timothy 6:13-16  In the sight of God, who gives life to everything, and of Christ Jesus, who while testifying before Pontius Pilate made the good confession, I charge you to keep this command without spot or blame until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ, which God will bring about in his own time--God, the blessed and only Ruler, the King of kings, and Lord of lords, who alone is immortal and who lives in unapproachable light, whom no one has seen or can see. To him be honor and might forever. Amen.
