PRAY Jeremiah 29:7-9 Part 3 of 3

"Also, seek the peace and prosperity of the city to which I have carried you into exile. Pray to the LORD for it, because if it prospers, you too will prosper." Yes, this is what the LORD Almighty, the God of Israel, says: "Do not let the prophets and diviners among you deceive you. Do not listen to the dreams you encourage them to have. They are prophesying lies to you in my name. I have not sent them," declares the LORD.  

They are prophesying lies to you in my name 
Jeremiah 27:15  " 'I have not sent them,' declares the LORD. 'They are prophesying lies in my name. Therefore I will banish you and you will perish, both you and the prophets who prophesy to you.' "
Lamentations 2:14  The visions of your prophets were false and worthless; they did not expose your sin to ward off your captivity. The prophecies they gave you were false and misleading.
Ezekiel 13:6  " 'Their visions are false and their divinations a lie. Even though the LORD has not sent them, they say, "The LORD declares." and expect him to fulfill their words. Have you not seen false visions and uttered lying divinations when you say, "The LORD declares," though I have not spoken?' "

"I have not sent them," declares the LORD 
Jeremiah 23:21-22  "I did not send these prophets, yet they have run with their message; I did not speak to them, yet they have prophesied. But if they had stood in my council, they would have proclaimed my words to my people and would have turned them from their evil ways and from their evil deeds."
