SALVATION Titus 2:11-14 Part 6 of 6

For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people. It teaches us to say "No" to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, while we wait for the blessed hope--the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good.

eager to do what is good
1 Peter 2:12  Live such good lives among the pagans that though they accuse you of doing wrong, they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day he visits us.
1 Peter 2:15  For it is God's will that by doing good you should silence the ignorant talk of foolish people.
1 Peter 3:13-15a  Who is going to harm you if you are eager to do good? But even if you should suffer for what is right, you are blessed. "Do not fear their threats; do not be frightened." (Isaiah 8:12) But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord.
