SALVATION Romans 13:11-14 Part 2 of 4

And do this, understanding the present time: The hour has already come for you to wake up from your slumber, because our salvation is nearer now that when we first believed. The night is nearly over; the day is almost here. so let us put aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light. Let us behave decently, as in the daytime, not in carousing and drunkenness, not in sexual immorality and debauchery, not in dissension and jealousy. Rather clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ, and do not think about how to gratify the desires of the flesh.  

The night is nearly over; the day is almost here 
Hebrews 10:24-25  And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another--and all the more as you see the Day approaching.
1 John 2:8  Yet I am writing you a new command; its truth is seen in him and in you, because the darkness is passing the the true light is already shining.

So let us put aside the deeds of darkness 
Ephesians 5:11  Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them.

and put on the armor of light 
Ephesians 6:11-13  Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.
1 Thessalonians 5:8  But since we belong to the day, let us be sober, putting on faith and love as a breastplate, and the hope of salvation as a helmet.
