JOY 1 John 1:1-4 Part 3 of 3

That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked at and our hands have touched--this we proclaim concerning the Word of life. The life appeared; we have seen it and testify to it, and we proclaim to you the eternal life, which was with the Father and has appeared to us. We proclaim to you what we have seen and heard, so that you also may have fellowship with us. And our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son, Jesus Christ. We write this to make our joy complete. 

we have seen it and testify to it 
John 15:27  "And you also must testify, for you have been with me from the beginning."

and we proclaim to you the eternal life, which was with the Father and has appeared to us 
Matthew 25:46  "Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life."

We proclaim to you what we have seen and heard 
1 John 1:1  That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked at and our hands have touched--this we proclaim concerning the Word of life.

And our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son, Jesus Christ 
1 Corinthians 1:9  God is faithful, who has called you into fellowship with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.

We write this 
1 John 2:1-2  My dear children, I write this to you, so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, we have an advocate with the Father--Jesus Christ, the Righteous One. He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world.

to make our joy complete 
John 3:29  "The bride belongs to the bridegroom. The friend who attends the bridegroom waits and listens for him, and is full of joy when he hears the bridegroom's voice. That joy is mine and is now complete."
John 15:11  "I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete."
John 16:24  "Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete."
