Mark 14:32-36 Part 1 of 2

    They went to a place called Gethsemane, and Jesus said to his disciples, "Sit here while I pray." He took Peter, James and John along with him, and he began to be deeply distressed and troubled. "My soul is overwhelmed with sorrow to the point of death," he said to them. "Stay here and keep watch."
    Going a little farther, he fell to the ground and prayed that if possible the hour might pass from him. "Abba, Father," he said, "everything is possible for you. Take this cup from me. Yet not what I will, but what you will." 
 
They went to a place called Gethsemane, and Jesus said to his disciples, "Sit here while I pray."
Matthew 26:36  
    Then Jesus went with his disciples to a place called Gethsemane, and he said to them, "Sit here while I go over there and pray."
Luke 22:39-40  
    Jesus went out as usual to the Mount of Olives, and his disciples followed him. On reaching the place, he said to them, "Pray that you will not fall into temptation."
 
He took Peter, James and John along with him, and he began to be deeply distressed and troubled.  
Matthew 26:37  
He took Peter and the two sons of Zebedee along with him, and began to be sorrowful and troubled.
 
"My soul is overwhelmed with sorrow to the point of death," he said to them. "Stay here and keep watch."  
Matthew 26:38  
Then he said to them, "My soul is overwhelmed with sorrow to the point of death. Stay here and keep watch with me."
John 12:27-28  
    "Now my soul is troubled, and what shall I say? 'Father, save me from this hour'? No, it was for this very reason I came to this hour. Father, glorify your name!"  (see John 12:23-33) 
Isaiah 53:10  
Yet it was the LORD's will to crush him and cause him to suffer,
    and though the LORD makes his life an offering for sin,
he will see his offspring and prolong his days,
    and the will of the LORD will prosper his hand.

John 13:1  
    It was just before the Passover Festival. Jesus knew that the hour had come for him to leave this world and go to the Father. Having loved his own who were in the world, he loved them to the end.
John 17:1  
    After Jesus said this, he looked toward heaven and prayed:
    "Father the hour has come. Glorify your Son, that your Son may glorify you."  (see all John 17)
