Romans 6:5-7 Part 3 of 3

For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we will certainly also be united with him in a resurrection like his. For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body ruled by sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin--because anyone who has died has been set free from sin.

was crucified with him
Romans 6:2-3  By no means! We are those who have died to sin; how can we live in it any longer? Or don't you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death?
Galatians 2:20  I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
Galatians 6:14  May I never boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.
Philippians 3:10  I want to know Christ--yes, to know the power of his resurrection and participation in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, ...
Colossians 2:20  Since you died with Christ to the elemental spiritual forces of this world, why, as though you still belonged to the world, do you submit to its rules: ...
Colossians 3:3  For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God.

so that the body ruled by sin might be done away with
Romans 7:24  What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body that is subject to death?

that we should no longer be slaves to sin
Romans 6:16  Don't you know that when you offer yourself to someone as obedient slaves, you are slaves of the one you obey--whether you are slaves to sin, which leads to death, or to obedience which leads to righteousness?

because anyone who has died has been set free from sin
Romans 6:18  You have been set free from sin and have become slaves to righteousness.
