Romans 5:20-21

The law was brought in so that the trespass might increase. But where sin increased, grace increased all the more, so that, just as sin reigned in death, so also grace might reign through righteousness to bring eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

The law was brought in so that the trespass might increase
Romans 3:20  Therefore no one will be declared righteous in God's sight by the works of the law; rather, through the law we become conscious of our sin.
Romans 7:7-8  What shall we say then? Is the law sinful? Certainly not! Nevertheless, I would not have known what sin was had it not been for the law. For I would not have known what coveting really was if the law had not said, "You shall not covet." (Exodus 20:17; Deuteronomy 5:21) But sin, seizing the opportunity afforded by the commandment, produced in me every kind of coveting. For apart from the law, sin was dead.
Galatians 3:19  Why, then, was the law given at all? It was added because of transgressions until the Seed to whom the promise referred had come. The law was given through angels and entrusted to a mediator.

But where sin increased, grace increased all the more
Romans 6:1-2  What shall we say then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? By no means! We are those who have died to sin; how can we live in it any longer?
1 Timothy 1:13-14  Even though I was once a blasphemer and a persecutor and a violent man, I was shown mercy because I acted in innocence and unbelief. The grace of our Lord was poured out on me abundantly, along with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus.

so that, just as sin reigned in death
Romans 5:12  Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all people, because all sinned--
Romans 5:14  Nevertheless, death reigned from the time of Adam to the time of Moses, even over those who did not sin by breaking a command, as did Adam, who is a pattern of the one to come.
Romans 6:16  Don't you know that when you offer yourselves to someone as obedient slaves, you are slaves of the one you obey--whether you are slaves to sin, which leads to death, or to obedience, which leads to righteousness?

so also grace might reign through righteousness
Romans 3:24  ... and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.

to bring eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord
Matthew 25:46  "Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.
