Revelation 1:9 Part 3 of 4

"And behold, I am coming quickly.
Blessed is he who heeds the words of the prophecy of this book."
Revelation 22:7  NASB

I, John, your brother and companion in the suffering and kingdom and patient endurance that are ours in Jesus, was on the island of Patmos because of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus.

was on the island of Patmos because of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus
Revelation 1:1-2  The revelation from Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show his servants what must soon take place. He made it known by sending his angel to his servant John, who testifies to everything he saw--that is, the word of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ.
Hebrews 4:2  For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.
Luke 5:1  One day as Jesus was standing by the Lake of Gennesaret, the people were crowding around him and listening to the word of God.
Luke 8:11-15  "This is the meaning of the parable: The seed is the word of God. Those along the path are the ones who hear, and then the devil comes and takes away the word from their hearts, so that they may not believe and be saved. Those on the rocky ground are the ones who receive the word with joy when they hear it, but they have no root. They believe for awhile, but in the time of testing they fall away. The seed that falls among the thorns stands for those who hear, but as they go on their way they are choked by life's worries, riches and pleasures, and they do not mature. But the seed on the good soil stands for those with a noble and good heart, who hear the word, retain it, and by persevering produce a crop."
Luke 11:28  He replied, "Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it."
