"And behold, I am coming quickly.
Blessed is he who heeds the words of the prophecy of this book."
Revelation 22:7  NASB

"To the angel of the church in Sardis write: These are the words of him who holds the seven spirits of God and the seven stars. I know your deeds; you have a reputation of being alive, but you are dead. Wake up! Strengthen what remains and is about to die, for I have found your deeds unfinished in the sight of my God. Remember, therefore, what you have received and heard; hold it fast, and repent. But if you do not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what time I will come to you."

These are the words of him who holds the seven spirits of God
Revelation 1:4-5  John, To the seven churches in the province of Asia: Grace and peace to you from him who is, and who was, and who is to come, and from the seven spirits before his throne, and from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth.

and the seven stars

I know your deeds

Remember, therefore, what you have received and heard; hold it fast and repent

To the one who is victorious and does my will to the end, I will give authority over the nations--that one will rule them with an iron scepter and will dash them to pieces like pottery' (Psalm 2:9)--just as I have received authority from my Father. I will also give that one the morning star. Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches."

Then all the churches will know that I am he who searches hearts and minds, and I will repay each of you according to your deeds."

Then all the churches will know that I am he who searches hearts and minds

Revelation 2:20-21

"And behold, I am coming quickly.
Blessed is he who heeds the words of the prophecy of this book."
Revelation 22:7  NASB

"Nevertheless, I have this against you: You tolerate that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophet. By her teaching she misleads my servants into sexual immorality and the eating of food sacrificed to idols. I have given her time to repent of her immorality, but she is unwilling."

Nevertheless, I have this against you: You tolerate that woman Jezebel
1 Kings 16:30-31  Ahab son of Omri did more evil in the eyes of the LORD than any of those before him. He not only considered it trivial to commit the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat, but he also married Jezebel daughter of Ethbaal king of the Sidonians, and began to serve Baal and worship him.
1 Kings 21:25  (There was never anyone like Ahab, who sold himself to do evil in the eyes of the LORD, urged on by Jezebel his wife.)
2 Kings 9:6-7  Jehu got up and went into the house. Then the prophet poured oil on Jehu's head and declared, "This is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: 'I anoint you king over the LORD's people Israel. You are to destroy the house of Ahab your master, and I will avenge the blood of my servants the prophets and the blood of all the LORD's servants shed by Jezebel.' "

by her teaching she misleads my servants into sexual immorality and the eating of food sacrificed to idols
Revelation 2:14  "Nevertheless, I have a few things against you: There are some among you who hold to the teaching of Balaam who taught Balak to entice the Israelites to sin so that they ate food sacrificed to idols and committed sexual immorality."
Acts 15:20  "Instead we should write to them to abstain from food polluted by idols, from sexual immorality, from the meat of strangled animals and from blood."

I have given her time to repent of her immorality
Romans 2:4  Or do you show contempt for the riches of his kindness, forbearance and patience, not realizing that God's kindness is intended to lead you to repentance?
2 Peter 3:9  The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.

but she is unwilling
Romans 2:5  But because of your stubbornness and your unrepentant heart, you are storing up wrath against yourself for the day of God's wrath, when his righteous judgment will be revealed.
Revelation 9:20  The rest of mankind who were not killed by these plagues still did not repent of the work of their hands; they did not stop worshiping demons, and idols of gold, silver, bronze, stone and wood--idols that cannot see or hear or walk.
Revelation 16:9  They were seared by the intense heat and they cursed the name of God, who had control over these plagues, but they refused to repent and glorify him.
Revelation 16:11  ... and cursed the God of heaven because of their pain and their sores, but they refused to repent of what they had done.

Revelation 2:18-19 Part 3 of 3

"And behold, I am coming quickly.
Blessed is he who heeds the words of the prophecy of this book."
Revelation 22:7  NASB

"To the angel of the church in Thyatira write: These are the words of the Son of God, whose eyes are like blazing fire and whose feet are like burnished bronze. I know your deeds, your love and faith, your service and perseverance, and that you are now doing more than you did at first."

These are the words of the Son of God
1 John 5:10-13  Whoever believes in the Son of God accepts this testimony. Whoever does not believe God has made him out to be a liar, because they have not believed the testimony God has given about his Son. And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life. I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life.
1 John 1:18-20  We know that anyone born of God does not continue to sin; the One who was born of God keeps them safe, and the evil one cannot harm them. We know that we are children of God, and that the whole world is under the control of the evil one. We know also that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know him who is true. And we are in him who is true by being in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life.

whose eyes are like blazing fire and whose feet are like burnished bronze
Revelation 1:14-15 The hair on his head was white like wool, as white as snow, and his eyes were like blazing fire. His feet were like bronze glowing in a furnace, and his voice was like the sound of rushing waters.

I know your deeds
Revelation 2:2-3  "I know your deeds, your hard work and your perseverance. I know that you cannot tolerate wicked people, that you have tested those who claim to be apostles but are not, and have found them false. You have persevered and have endured hardships for my name, and have not grown weary."

"To the angel of the church in Thyatira write: These are the words of the Son of God, whose eyes are like blazing fire and whose feet are like burnished bronze. I know your deeds, your love and faith, your service and perseverance, and that you are now doing more than you did at first."

These are the words of the Son of God
Luke 1:35  The angel answered, "The Holy Spirit will come on you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called the Son of God.
Luke 22:70  They all asked, "Are you then the Son of God?" He replied, "You say that I am."
John 1:48-49  "How do you know me?" Nathanael asked. Jesus answered, "I saw you while you were still under the fig tree before Philip called you." Then Nathanael declared "Rabbi, you are the Son of God; you are the king of Israel."
John 5:25  "Very truly I tell you, a time is coming and has now come when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God and those who hear will live."
John 11:27  "Yes, Lord," she replied, "I believe that you are the Messiah, the Son of God, who is to come into the world."
John 20:31  But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.
Acts 9:19b-20  Saul spent several days with the disciples in Damascus. At once he began to preach in the synagogues that Jesus is the Son of God.
Romans 1:1-4  Paul, a servant of Christ Jesus, called to be an apostle and set apart for the gospel of God--the gospel he promised beforehand through his prophets in the Holy Scriptures regarding his Son, who as to his earthly life was a descendant of David, and who through the Spirit of holiness was appointed the Son of God in power by his resurrection from the dead: Jesus Christ our Lord.

Revelation 2:18-19 Part 1 of 3

"And behold, I am coming quickly.
Blessed is he who heeds the words of the prophecy of this book."
Revelation 22:7  NASB

"To the angel of the church in Thyatira write: These are the words of the Son of God, whose eyes are like blazing fire and whose feet are like burnished bronze. I know your deeds, your love and faith, your service and perseverance, and that you are now doing more than you did at first."

To the angel of the church in Thyatira write
Revelation 2:24-25  "Now I say to the rest of you in Thyatira, to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan's so-called deep secrets, 'I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come.' "
Acts 16:14-15  One of those listening was a woman from the city of Thyatira named Lydia, a dealer in purple cloth. She was a worshiper of God. The Lord opened her heart to respond to Paul's message. When she and the members of her household were baptized, she invited us to her home. "If you consider me a believer in the Lord," she said, "come and stay at my house." And she persuaded us.

These are the words of the Son of God
Matthew 3:16-17  As soon as Jesus was baptized, he went up out of the water. At that moment heaven was opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting on him. And a voice from heaven said, "This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased."
Matthew 4:3-4  The tempter came to him and said, "If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread." Jesus answered, "It is written: 'Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.' " (Deuteronomy 8:3)
Matthew 14:32-33  And when they climbed into the boat, the wind died down. Then those who were in the boat worshiped him, saying, "Truly you are the Son of God."
Matthew 16:16  Simon Peter answered, "You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God."
Matthew 27:54  When the Centurion and those with him who were guarding Jesus saw the earthquake and all that has happened, they were terrified, and exclaimed, "Surely he was the Son of God!"

Blessed is he who heeds the words of the prophecy of this book."
Revelation 22:7  NASB

"Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who is victorious I will give some of the hidden manna. I will also give that person a white stone with a new name on it, known only to the one who receives it."

Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches
Revelation 2:7  "Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who is victorious, I will give the right to eat from the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God."

To the one who is victorious
John 16:33  "I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world."
Romans 8:37  No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.
1 John 4:4  You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.
Revelation 21:7  "Those who are victorious will inherit all this, and I will be their God and they will be my children."

I will give some of the hidden manna
John 6:49-51  "Your ancestors ate the manna in the wilderness, yet they died. But here is the bread that comes down from heaven, which anyone may eat and not die. I am the living bread that came down from heaven. Whoever eats this bread will live forever. This bread is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world."

I will also give that person a white stone with a new name on it
Isaiah 56:4-5  For this is what the LORD says: "To the eunuchs who keep my Sabbaths, who choose what pleases me and hold fast to my covenant--to them I will give within my temple and its walls a memorial and a name better than sons and daughters; I will give them an everlasting name that will endure forever."
Isaiah 62:2  The nations will see your (Jerusalem's) vindication, and all kings your glory; you will be called by a new name that the mouth of the LORD will bestow.
Isaiah 65:15  "You (rebellious Israelites) leave your name for my chosen ones to use in their curses; the Sovereign LORD will put you to death, but to his servants he will give another name."

known only to the one who receives it

Revelation 2:14-16 Part 2 of 2

"And behold, I am coming quickly.
Blessed is he who heeds the words of the prophecy of this book."
Revelation 22:7  NASB

"Nevertheless, I have a few things against you: There are some among you who hold to the teaching of Balaam, who taught Balak to entice the Israelites to sin so that they ate food sacrificed to idols and committed sexual immorality. Likewise, you also have those who hold to the teaching of the Nicolaitans. Repent therefore! Otherwise, I will soon come to you and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth."

Likewise, you also have those who hold to the teaching of the Nicolaitans
Revelation 2:6  "But you hate the practice of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate." (a heretical sect within the church that taught that spiritual liberty gave them freedom to practice idolatry and immorality along with Christian doctrines of the church)

Repent therefore!
Revelation 2:5  "Consider how far you have fallen! Repent and do the things you did at first. If you do not repent, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place."

Otherwise, I will soon come to you and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth
2 Thessalonians 2:7-12  For the secret power of lawlessness is already at work; but the one who now holds it back will continue to do so till he is taken out of the way. And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom Jesus will overthrow with the breath of his mouth and destroy by the splendor of his coming. The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with how Satan works. He will use all sorts of displays of power through signs and wonders that serve the lie, and all the ways that wickedness deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness.
Revelation 1:16  In his right hand he held seven stars, and coming out of his mouth was a sharp, double-edged sword. His face was like the sun shining in all its brilliance.

Revelation 2:14-16 Part 1 of 2

"And behold, I am coming quickly.
Blessed is he who heeds the words of the prophecy of this book."
Revelation 22:7  NASB

"Nevertheless, I have a few things against you: There are some among you who hold to the teaching of Balaam, who taught Balak to entice the Israelites to sin so that they ate food sacrificed to idols and committed sexual immorality. Likewise, you also have those who hold to the teaching of the Nicolaitans. Repent therefore! Otherwise, I will soon come to you and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth."

Nevertheless, I have a few things against you
Revelation 2:20  "Nevertheless, I have this against you: You tolerate that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophet. By her teaching she misleads my servants into sexual immorality and the eating of foods sacrificed to idols."

There are some among you who hold to the teaching of Balaam
2 Peter 2:15  They have left the straight way and wandered off to follow the way of Balaam son of Bezer, who loved the wages of wickedness.
Deuteronomy 23:3-5  No Ammonite or Moabite or any of their descendants may enter the assembly of the LORD, not even in the tenth generation. For they did not come to meet you with bread and water on your way when you came out of Egypt, and they hired Balaam son of Beor from Pethor in Aram Naharaim to pronounce a curse on you. However, the LORD your God would not listen to Balaam but turned the curse into a blessing for you, because the LORD your God loves you. (Numbers 22-26)
Numbers 31:15-16  "Have you allowed all the women to live?" he asked them. "They were the ones who followed Balaam's advice and enticed the Israelites to be unfaithful to the LORD in the Peor incident, so that a plague struck the LORD's people."
Jude 10-11  Yet these people slander whatever they do not understand, and the very things they do understand by instinct--as irrational animals do--will destroy them. Woe to them! They have taken the way of Cain; (Genesis 4:3-8) they have rushed for profit into Balaam's error; (2 Peter 2:15) they have been destroyed in Korah's rebellion. (Numbers 16:1-3, 31-35)

who taught Balak to entice the Israelites to sin so that they ate food sacrificed to idols and committed sexual immorality
Acts 15:19-20  "It is my judgment, therefore that we should not make it difficult for the Gentiles who are turning to God. Instead we should write to them, telling them to abstain from food polluted by idols, from sexual immorality, from meat of strangled animals and from blood."
1 Corinthians 6:13  You say, "Food for the stomach and the stomach for food, and God will destroy them both." The body, however, is not meant for sexual immorality but for the Lord.

Revelation 2:12-13

"And behold, I am coming quickly.
Blessed is he who heeds the words of the prophecy of this book."
Revelation 22:7  NASB

"To the angel of the church in Pergamum write: These are the words of him who has the sharp, double-edged sword. I know where you live--where Satan has his throne. Yet you remain true to my name. Revelation 2:4-6 Part 1 of 2

"And behold, I am coming quickly.
Blessed is he who heeds the words of the prophecy of this book."
Revelation 22:7  NASB

"Yet I hold this against you: You have forsaken the love you had at first. Consider how far you have fallen! Repent and do the things you did at first. If you do not repent, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place. But you have this in your favor: You hate the practices of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate."

Yet I hold this against you: You have forsaken the love you had at first
Jeremiah 2:2  "Go and proclaim in the hearing of Jerusalem: This is what the LORD says: 'I remember the devotion of your youth, how as a bride you loved me and followed me through the wilderness, through a land not sown.' "
Jeremiah 3:4-5  "Have you not just called to me: 'My Father, my friend from my youth, will you always be angry? Will your wrath continue forever?' This is how you talk, but you do all the evil you can."

Revelation 2:1-3 Part 3 of 3

"And behold, I am coming quickly.
Blessed is he who heeds the words of the prophecy of this book."
Revelation 22:7  NASB

"To the angel of the church in Ephesus write: These are the words of him who holds the seven stars in his right hand and walks among the seven golden lampstands. I know your deeds, your hard work and your perseverance. I know that you cannot tolerate wicked people, that you have tested those who claim to be apostles but are not, and have found them false. You have persevered and have endured hardships for my name, and have not grown weary."

I know that you cannot tolerate wicked people, that you have tested those who claim to be apostles but are not
1 John 4:1-3  Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world.

and have found them false
2 Corinthians 11:13-15  For such people are false apostles, deceitful workers, masquerading as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. It is not surprising then, if his servants also masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will be what their actions deserve.

You have persevered and have endured hardships for my name, and have not grown weary
John 15:18-21  "If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first. If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you. Remember what I told you: 'A servant is not greater than his master.' (John 13:16) If they persecuted me, they will persecute you also. If they obeyed my teaching, they will obey yours also. They will treat you this way because of my name. for they do not know the one who sent me."

Revelation 2:1-3 Part 2 of 3

"And behold, I am coming quickly.
Blessed is he who heeds the words of the prophecy of this book."
Revelation 22:7  NASB

"To the angel of the church in Ephesus write: These are the words of him who holds the seven stars in his right hand and walks among the seven golden lampstands. I know your deeds, your hard work and your perseverance. I know that you cannot tolerate wicked people, that you have tested those who claim to be apostles but are not, and have found them false. You have persevered and have endured hardships for my name, and have not grown weary."

These are the words of him who holds the seven stars in his right hand
Revelation 1:16  In his right hand he held seven stars, and coming out of his mouth was a sharp, double-edged sword. His face was like the sun shining in all its brilliance.

and walks among the seven golden lampstands
Revelation 1:12-13  I turned around to see the voice that was speaking to me. And when I turned I saw seven golden lampstands, and among the lampstands was someone like a son of man, dressed in a robe reaching down to his feet and with a golden sash around his chest.

I know your deeds
Revelation 2:18-19  "To the angel of the church in Thyatira write: These are the words of the Son of God, whose eyes are like blazing fire and whose feet are like burnished bronze. I know your deeds, your love and faith, your service and perseverance, and that you are now doing more than you did at first."
Revelation 3:1-2  "To the angel of the church in Sardis write: These are the words of him who holds the seven spirits of God and the seven stars. I know your deeds; you have a reputation of being alive, but you are dead. Wake up! Strengthen what remains and is about to die, for I have found your deeds unfinished in the sight of God."
Revelation 3:7-8  "To the angel of the church in Philadelphia write: These are the words of him who is holy and true, who holds the key of David. What he opens no one can shut, and what he closes no one can open. I know your deeds. See, I have placed before you an open door that no one can shut. I know that you have little strength, yet you have kept my word and have not denied my name."
Revelation 3:14-16  "To the angel of the church in Laodicea write: These are the words of the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the ruler of God's creation. I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! So because you are lukewarm--neither hot nor cold--I am going to spit you out of my mouth."

Revelation 2:1-3 Part 1 of 3

"And behold, I am coming quickly.
Blessed is he who heeds the words of the prophecy of this book."
Revelation 22:7  NASB

"To the angel of the church in Ephesus write: These are the words of him who holds the seven stars in his right hand and walks among the seven golden lampstands. I know your deeds, your hard work and your perseverance. I know that you cannot tolerate wicked people, that you have tested those who claim to be apostles but are not, and have found them false. You have persevered and have endured hardships for my name, and have not grown weary."

To the angel of the church in Ephesus write
Acts 18:19-21  They arrived at Ephesus, where Paul left Priscilla and Aquila. He himself went into the synagogue and reasoned with the Jews. When they asked him to spend more time with them, he declined. But as he left, he promised, "I will come back if it is God's will." Then he set sail from Ephesus.
Acts 18:24  Meanwhile a Jew named Apollos, a native of Alexandria, came to Ephesus. He was a learned man, with a thorough knowledge of the Scriptures.
Acts 19:1-2  While Apollos was at Corinth, Paul took the road through the interior and arrived at Ephesus. There he found some disciples and asked them, "Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?" They answered, "No, we have not even heard that there is a Holy Spirit."
1 Corinthians 15:32  If I fought wild beasts in Ephesus with no more than human hopes, what have I gained? If the dead are not raised, "Let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we die." (Isaiah 22:13)
1 Corinthians 16:8-9  But I will stay on at Ephesus until Pentecost, because a great door for effective work has opened to me, and there are many who oppose me.
Ephesians 1:1  Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, To God's holy people in Ephesus, the faithful in Christ Jesus: ...
1 Timothy 1:3-4  As I urged you when I went to Macedonia, stay there in Ephesus so that you may command certain people not to teach false doctrines any longer or to devote themselves to myths and endless genealogies. Such things promote controversial speculations rather than advancing God's work--which is by faith.
