Galatians 4:12-16

I plead with you, brothers and sisters, become like me, for I became like you. You did me no wrong. As you know, it was because of an illness that I first preached the gospel to you, and even though my illness was a trial to you, you did not treat me with contempt or scorn. Instead, you welcomed me as if I were an angel of God, as if I were Christ Jesus himself. Where, then, is your blessing of me now? I can testify that, if you could have done so, you would have torn out your eyes and given them to me. Have I now become your enemy by telling you the truth?

I plead with you, brothers and sisters
Romans 7:1  Do you not know, brothers and sisters--for I am speaking to those who know the law--that the law has authority over someone only as long as that person lives?
Galatians 6:18  The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit, brothers and sisters. Amen.

it was because of an illness that I first preached the gospel to you
1 Corinthians 2:3  I came to you in weakness with great fear and trembling.

Instead, you welcomed me as if I were an angel of God, as if I were Christ Jesus himself
Matthew 10:40  "Anyone who welcomes you welcomes me, and anyone who welcomes me welcomes the one who sent me."

Have I now become your enemy by telling you the truth?
Amos 5:10  There are those who hate the one who upholds justice in court and detest the one who tells the truth.
1 Kings 22:8  The king of Israel answered Jehoshaphat, "There is still one prophet through whom we can inquire of the LORD, but I hate him because he never prophesies anything good about me, but always bad. He is Micaiah son of Imlah." "The king should not say such a thing," Jehoshaphat replied.
