Galatians 3:3-6

Are you foolish? After beginning by means of the Spirit, are you now trying to finish by means of the flesh? Have you experienced so much in vain--if it really was in vain? So again I ask, does God give you his spirit and work miracles among you by the works of the law, or by your believing what you heard? So also, Abraham "believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness." (Genesis 15:6)

does God give you his Spirit and work miracles among you by the works of the law
1 Corinthians 12:8-11  To one there is given through the Spirit a message of wisdom, to another a message of knowledge by means of the same Spirit, to another prophecy, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues, and to still another the interpretation of tongues. All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and he distributes them to each one, just as he determines.

or by your believing what you heard
Galatians 2:16  ... (We) know that a person is not justified by the works of the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ. So we, too, have put our faith in Christ Jesus that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by works of the law, because by the works of the law no one will be justified.

So also Abraham "believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness"
Genesis 15:6  Abram believed the LORD, and he credited it to him as righteousness.
Psalm 106:30-31  But Phineas stood up and intervened, and the plague was checked. This was credited to him as righteousness for endless generations to come.
Romans 4:23-24  The words "it was credited to him" were written not for him alone but also for us, to whom God will credit righteousness--for us who believe in him who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead.
