And this is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.

you were sanctified
1 Corinthians 1:2-3 To the church of God in Corinth, to those sanctified in Christ Jesus and called to be his holy people, together with all those everywhere who call on the name of our Lord Jesus Christ--their Lord and ours: Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ
you were justified
Romans 4:25 He was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification.
Isaiah 53:11 After he has suffered, he will see the light of life and be satisfied; by his knowledge my righteous servant will justify many, and he will bear their iniquities.
Romans 3:24 ... and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.
Romans 5:1 Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, ...
Romans 5:9 Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God's wrath through him!
