Psalm 18:18-19

They (my foes) confronted me in the day of my disaster, but the LORD was my support. He brought me out into a spacious place; he rescued me because he delighted in me.

They confronted me in the day of my disaster 
Proverbs 1:26-27  "I (Wisdom) in turn will laugh when disaster strikes you (the simple, mockers, fools); I will mock when calamity overtakes you--when calamity overtakes you like a storm, when disaster sweeps over you like a whirlwind, when distress and trouble overwhelm you."

but the LORD was my support

He brought me out into a spacious place 
Psalm 31:8  You have not given me into the hands of the enemy but have set my feet in a spacious place.

he rescued me because he delighted in me 
Numbers 14:6-8  Joshua son of Nun and Caleb son of Jephunneh, who were among those who had explored the land, tore their clothes and said to the entire Israelite assembly, "The land we passed through and explored is exceedingly good. If the LORD is pleased with us, he will lead us into that land, a land flowing with milk and honey, and will give it to us. Only do not rebel against the LORD. And do not be afraid of the people of the land, because we will devour them. Their protection is gone, but the LORD is with us. Do not be afraid of them."
