Psalm 18:11-13

He made darkness his covering, his canopy around him--the dark rain clouds of the sky. Out of the brightness of his presence clouds advanced, with hailstones and bolts of lightning. The LORD thundered from heaven; the voice of the Most High resounded.

He made darkness his covering 
Exodus 19:9  The LORD said to Moses, "I am going to come to you in a dense cloud, so that the people will hear me speaking with you and will always put their trust in you." Then Moses told the LORD what the people had said.
Deuteronomy 4:11  You came near and stood at the foot of the mountain while it blazed with fire to the very heavens, with black clouds and deep darkness.

his canopy around him 
Job 22:14  "Thick clouds veil him, so he does not see us as he goes about in the vaulted heavens."
Isaiah 4:5  Then the LORD will create over all of Mount Zion and over those who assemble there a cloud of smoke by day and a glow of flaming fire by night; over everything the glory will be a canopy.
Jeremiah 43:10  "Then say to them, 'This is what the LORD Almighty, the God of Israel, says: I will send for my servant Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and I will set his throne over these stones I have buried here; he will spread his royal canopy over them."

Out of the brightness of his presence clouds advanced 
Psalm 104:2  The LORD wraps himself in light as with a garment; he stretches out the heavens like a tent ...

with hailstones 
Joshua 10:11  As they fled before Israel on the road down from Beth Horon to Azekah, the LORD hurled large hailstones down on them, and more of them died from the hail than were killed by the swords of the Israelites.

and bolts of lightning 
Job 36:30  "See how he scatters his lightning about him, bathing the depths of the sea."
Job 37:11  "He loads the clouds with moisture; he scatters his lightning through them."

The LORD thundered from heaven 
Exodus 9:23-24  Moses stretched out his staff toward the sky, the LORD sent thunder and hail, and lightning flashed down to the ground. So the LORD rained hail on the land of Egypt; hail fell and lightning flashed back and forth. It was the worst storm in all the land of Egypt since it had become a nation.
1 Samuel 2:10  "... those who oppose the LORD will be broken. The Most High will thunder from heaven; the LORD will judge the ends of the earth. He will give strength to his king and exalt the horn of his anointed."
