works of your hands; you put everything under their feet: all flocks
and herds, all the animals of the wild, the birds in the sky, and the
fish in the sea, all that swim the paths of the seas. LORD, our Lord,
how majestic is your name in all the earth!
all flocks and herds
Genesis 13:5-6 Now Lot, who was moving about with Abram, also had flocks and herds and tents. But the land could not support them while they stayed together, for their possessions were so great that they were not able to stay together.
Genesis 26:14 He (Isaac) had so many flocks and herds and servants that the Philistines envied him.
and the animals of the wild
Genesis 2:19-20 Now the LORD God had formed out of the ground all the wild animals and all the birds of the sky. He brought them to the man to see what he would name them; and whatever the man called each living creature, that was its name. So the man gave names to all the livestock, the birds in the sky and all the wild animals.
the birds in the sky, and the fish in the sea
Genesis 1:26 Then God said, "Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all creatures that move along the ground.

Psalm 8:6-9 Part 2 of 3
You made them rulers over the
works of your hands; you put everything under their feet: all flocks
and herds, all the animals of the wild, the birds in the sky, and the
fish in the sea, all that swim the paths of the seas. LORD, our Lord,
how majestic is your name in all the earth!
You put everything under their feet
1 Kings 5:3 "You know that because of the wars waged against my father David from all sides, he could not build a temple for the Name of the LORD his God until the LORD put his enemies under his feet."
1 Corinthians 15:25-27 For he (Christ) must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet. The last enemy to be destroyed is death. For he "has put everything under his feet." Now when it says that "everything" has been put under him, it is clear that this does not include God himself, who put everything under Christ.
Ephesians 1:22-23 And God placed all things under his (Christ's) feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church, which is his body, the fullness of him who fills everything in every way.
Hebrews 2:6-8 But there is a place where someone has testified: "What is mankind that you are mindful of them, a son of man that you care for him? You made them a little lower than the angels; you crowned them with glory and honor and put everything under their feet." (Psalm 8:4-6) In putting everything under them, God left nothing that is not subject to them. Yet at present we do not see everything subject to them.

Psalm 8:3-4 Part 2 of 2
When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is mankind that you are mindful of them, human beings that you care for them?
the moon and the stars, which you have set in place
Genesis 1:16 God made two great lights--the greater light to govern the day and the lesser light to govern the night. He also made the stars.
1 Corinthians 15:41 The sun has one kind of splendor, the moon another and the stars another; and star differs from star in splendor.
what is mankind that you are mindful of them, human beings that you care for them?
1 Chronicles 29:14 "But who am I (King David), and who are my people, that we should be able to give as generously as this? Everything comes from you,and we have given you only what comes from your hand."
Psalm 144:3-4 LORD, what are human beings that you care for them, mere mortals that you think of them? They are like a breath; their days are like a fleeting shadow.
Job 7:17-18 "What is mankind that you make so much of them, that you give them so much attention, that you examine them every morning and test them every moment?"

Psalm 8:3-4 Part 1 of 2
When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is mankind that you are mindful of them, human beings that you care for them?
When I consider your heavens
Genesis 15:5 He (God) took him (Abram) outside and said, "Look up at the sky and count the stars--if indeed you can count them." Then he said to him, "So shall your offspring be."
Deuteronomy 10:14 To the LORD your God belong the heavens, even the highest heavens, the earth and everything in it.
the work of your fingers
Exodus 8:18-19 But when the magicians tried to produce gnats by their secret arts, they could not. Since the gnats were on people and animals everywhere, the magicians said to Pharaoh, "This is the finger of God." But Pharaoh's heart was hard and he would not listen, just as the LORD had said.
1 Chronicles 16:26 For all the gods of the nations are idols, but the LORD made the heavens.
2 Chronicles 2:12 And Hiram added: "Praise be to the LORD, the God of Israel, who made heaven and earth! He has given King David a wise son, endowed with intelligence and discernment, who will build a temple for the LORD and a palace for himself."
Psalm 102:25 "In the beginning you laid the foundations of the earth, and the heavens are the work of your hands."

Psalm 7:14-16
Whoever is pregnant with evil conceives trouble and gives birth to disillusionment. Whoever digs a hole and scoops it out falls into the pit they have made. The trouble they cause recoils on them; their violence comes down on their own heads.
Whoever is pregnant with evil conceives trouble and gives birth to disillusionment

James 1:15 Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death.
Whoever digs a hole and scoops it out falls into the pit

Psalm 40:1-2 I waited patiently for the LORD; he turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand.
Psalm 94:12-13 Blessed is the one you discipline, LORD, the one you teach from your law; you grant them relief from days of trouble, till a pit is dug for the wicked.

All my enemies will be overwhelmed with shame and anguish; they will turn back and suddenly be put to shame.
All my enemies will be overwhelmed with shame and anguish
2 Kings 19:25-28 (The LORD to Sennacherib king of Assyria) " 'Have you not heard? Long ago I ordained it. In days of old I planned it; now I have brought it to pass, that you have turned fortified cities into piles of stone. Their people, drained of power, are dismayed and put to shame. They are like plants in the field, like tender green shoots, like grass sprouting on the roof, scorched before it grows up. But I know where you are and when you come and go and how you rage against me. Because you rage against me and because your insolence has reached my ears, I will put my hook in your nose and my bit in your mouth, and I will make you return by the way you have come.' "
they will turn back and suddenly be put to shame
Psalm 40:14 May all who want to take my life be put to shame and confusion; may all who desire my ruin be turned back in disgrace.

Psalm 102:5 In my distress I groan aloud and am reduced to skin and bones.
Lamentations 1:8 Jerusalem has sinned greatly and so has become unclean. All who honored her despise her, for they have all seen her naked; she herself groans and turns away.
Lamentations 1:11 All her people groan as they search for bread; they barter their treasures for food to keep themselves alive."Look, LORD, and consider, for I am despised."
Lamentations 1:21-22 "People have heard my groaning, but there is no one to comfort me. All my enemies have heard of my distress; they rejoice at what you have done. May you bring the day you have announced so they may become like me. Let all their wickedness come before you; deal with them as you have dealt with me because of all my sins. My groans are many and my heart is faint."
