GLORY Romans 9:3-5 Part 3 of 3

For I could wish that I myself were cursed and cut off from Christ for the sake of my people, those of my own race, the people of Israel. Theirs is the adoption to sonship; theirs the divine glory, the covenants, the receiving of the law, the temple worship and the promises. Theirs are the patriarchs, and from them is traced the human ancestry of the Messiah, who is God over all, forever praised! Amen.  

and the promises 
Acts 13:32-33  "We tell you the good news: What God promised our ancestors he has fulfilled for us, their children, by raising up Jesus. As it is written in the second Psalm: 'You are my son; today I have become your father.' (Psalm 2:7)"
Galatians 3:16  The promises were spoken to Abraham and to his seed. Scripture does not say "and to seeds," meaning many people, but "and to your seed," (Genesis 12:7; 13:15; 24:7)  meaning one person, who is Christ.

Theirs are the patriarchs 
Romans 11:28-29  As far as the gospel is concerned, they are enemies for your sake; but as far as election is concerned, they are loved on account of the patriarchs, for God's gifts and his call are irrevocable.

and from them is traced the human ancestry of the Messiah 
Matthew 1:1  (See verses 1-16 for Jesus' genealogy listed here)  This is the genealogy of Jesus the Messiah the son of David, the son of Abraham: ...
Romans 1:3  ... regarding his Son, who as to his earthly life was a descendant of David, ...

who is God over all 
John 1:1  In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
Colossians 2:9  For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form, ...

forever praised 
Romans 1:25  They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator--who is forever praised. Amen.
2 Corinthians 11:31  The God and Father of the Lord Jesus, who is to be praised forever, knows that I am not lying.
