MERCY Deuteronomy 4:31 Part 2 of 2

For the LORD your God is a merciful God; he will not abandon or destroy you or forget the covenant with your ancestors, which he confirmed to them by oath. 

he will not abandon 
Psalm 9:10  Those who know your name trust in you, for you, LORD, have never forsaken those who seek you.
Psalm 27:9  Do not hide your face from me, do not turn your servant away in anger; you have been my helper. Do not reject me or forsake me, God my Savior. 
Psalm 71:9  Do not cast me away when I am old; do not forsake me when my strength is gone.
Isaiah 42:16  "I will lead the blind by ways they have not known, along unfamiliar paths I will guide them; I will turn the darkness into light before them and make the rough places smooth. These are the things I will do; I will not forsake them."
Hebrews 13:5  Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, "Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you." (Deuteronomy 31:6)

or destroy you 
Leviticus 26:44  " 'Yet in spite of this, when they are in the land of their enemies, I will not reject them or abhor them so as to destroy them completely, breaking my covenant with them. I am the LORD their God.' "

or forget the covenant with your ancestors 
Leviticus 26:45  " 'But for their sake I will remember the covenant with their ancestors whom I brought out of Egypt in the sight of the nations to be their God. I am the LORD.' "
